Flipping Good Fun for Charity

The annual Charity Pancake Race organised by Truro Rotary Club took place on Shrove Tuesday on Lemon Quay in Truro.

We enjoyed sponsoring the charity fundraising event this year which was well supported in the time honoured tradition of racing pancakes down the Quay and flipping them over the finishing line, all with much competitive spirit!

All funds raised will benefit the immensely important campaign "Thanks for Life- End Polio Now" and other Rotary supported charities, among them Shelterbox. The Rotary Club expect that their final count will bring in well over £2000. Over the last eight years they have raised around £21,000 in support of such charities as Marie Curie Cancer Care, The Chestnut Appeal, Shelter Box, Aqua Box and The Merlin Project.
